Residents of Bel Air will soon enjoy walking and jogging through a new passive nature preserve and historical farmstead museum in the heart of Bel Air South. Located on the south side of Wheel Road, across the street from the Festival at Bel Air Shopping Center, the Emily Bayless Graham Park will be run by Harford County, and is slated to open in late 2018 or early 2019. The new park will be within easy walking distance of multiple Bel Air communities, including Abingdon, Box Hill, Country Walk, East Gate and Hunters Run. There will be a parking lot, pavilions, a picnic area, a sensory trail and three pedestrian trails on the 69-acre site, formerly a working farm. Otherwise, the park will retain its natural state to the extent feasible. The current plan for the site can be viewed here.
